Wormwood was the seed for me getting into podcasts and audio drama. It's a little cheesy, in a way that reminds me of comic books, but I love the pendulum swing between humorous hijinks and grappling with serious darkness. Everything - acting, audio quality, writing - brings that warm feeling of listening to a classic, with actors who are pretty clearly enjoying themselves and writers who spent a long time loving these characters. I would recommend Wormwood to people who enjoy small creepy towns, protagonists who have more flaws than they care to examine, and what appears to be many disconnected plotlines merging together slowly.
