I heard the trailer for Mars' Best Brisket on another show as I drove to work one day, a month or so before the release. Then the trailer was at the end of EVERY EPISODE. The theme song cemented itself in my brain right between the 877 CASH NOW jingle and the Folger's jingle. I even gave birth to my son about two weeks before the premiere, and I've sang the theme to him every time he gets fussy since the day he was born. So, of course, I had to check out the show.I wish more episodes were on the way! The voice acting is pretty good. I enjoyed the "Texan" accents, being from Texas myself. And the robot? I figured it was Text-to-Speech software until the credits. Bravo. Each episode is its own self-contained story, which works well for this premise (and leaves the future open for more content). The writing is enjoyable, the jokes made me chuckle, and eating salad with brisket is still a crime.I'm not anticipating more MBB, but I hope Ponders revisits this later. I'll be checking out some of their other work.
